I’ve been all over the place lately, but I’m buckling down to get a book done. Learning to Live is going to be the first book in my Next Step Series. I started it on November 14th and I’m almost half way. I’m also working on the edits for Protected, which I hope will be the third book in my Pack of Lies series. I’m going to be submitting it this week! Fingers crossed.

Part of him wished she had a man with her when she walked in, someone who could give Lexi all the things he couldn’t. Of course the other, more selfish part of him was grateful for a reprieve.
He knew one day it would happen. Lexi would move on with someone and be happy. He also knew the news would break him.

I’m not getting to write much as I’m doing edits on THREE books! But I’ve still been able to manage a few words on Protected. Here’s a teaser:
Keeping to the outer edge of the festivities, Dax took a sip of the worst champagne he’d ever tasted.
He never thought this night would end up like this. In the past when he’d thought about marrying Gia Holbrook it was much different.
It wouldn’t have been in the sweltering Texas heat, for one. The champagne would have been better. And he would have been the groom instead of the officiant.
